I have had the pleasure of photographing Jack several times since his birth (see previous blog posts). His mom asked me to take a couple photos at his Birthday party today and I could not have been more thrilled. It is so easy to forget how much little ones change in their first years! Happy Birthday, Jackson!!!!!

Some Styling Tips for Your Photo Session...
Before every session, the question of "what should I where?" always comes up. Since I typically am not familiar with your wardrobe, here are some tips to help with that decision. The inspiration for this list came from a photographer by the name of Elizabeth Halford.
1. Khakis and matching shirts are soooooooooo yesterday. :)
2. If possible, buy a new outfit for the session. It will boost your confidence and that will have a positive effect on the way you present yourself for the photo session.
3. Props are FUN and make so-so photos MUCH more interesting.
4. Think outside the box when planning your wardrobe. Textures, layers, and bright colors look fabulous!
5. Consider where the final product will be displayed in your home. Dress to match the location.
6. Again, bring props. Now is your chance to pretend like you are a high-fashion model. Make the most of it. Kids also look much cuter and more natural DOING instead of posing, so give them something to play with.

About me...
If you are new to my blog (and to me), here is a little bit about myself.
I married a Hungarian fella.
I have never been to Hungary.
I am an animal lover.
I am currently practicing as an occupational therapy assistant.
Sometimes I squeal and snort when I laugh.
I sing like Fiona (Apple) when nobody is around.
If I had a daughter, I would name her Fiona or Kennedy.
I love color and the way each one makes me feel.
My favorite color is green.
I am a Virgo.
I would murder for my son.
I admit that I am addicted to Facebook.
I hope to travel outside the continental United States someday.
Particularly, Rome and India.
I love the smell of fresh cut grass, falling leaves, and frosty mornings.
I move a lot.
For example, I was born in California, moved to Georgia when I was 1, moved to Indiana when I was 7, then continued to move to 5 additional cities within Indiana.
I now live in Noblesville.
My favorite body parts are my legs.
My legs do a lot of walking and running.
Old buildings and historic districts get me excited.
Carmel Frappes from Starbucks are my vice.
So is my inability to get control of the filter on my mouth.
I trust that there is good in everyone.
And I truly mean that.
If the world revolved around me, I would have 10 kids.
I love kids, even though I have a hard time letting my "kid side" out.
The sound of my son's voice when he sings The Itsy Bitsy Spider makes me melt.
I LOVE my friends and wish desperately that we all lived on the same street (or at least the same town!).
I like to dress up after playing in the dirt.
I am very neurotic with keeping my home clean.
Heels make me feel pretty, but I chose a life of sneakers.
I have an overactive imagination (and it can get me in trouble sometimes).
"Me" time is a necessity.
Public speaking doesn't scare me.
I may me late to the party, but I always show up.
I wear my heart on my sleeve and I am okay with that.
I appear to be a neat freak...just don't look in the closets!

Baby Lenae...
I had the pleasure of taking some portraits of a dear friend's grand-daughter today. It was very warm outside (sweltering actually), but AT LEAST it was finally SUNNY! I had so much fun watching Baby Lenae and my son, Kalman, interact. They were so cute together! Here are a couple photos from today's session. More to come soon!
