{Josh and Rose} E-Session Teaser...

Josh and Rose are getting married this September in Indianapolis, Indiana.  I love love love when I am able to shoot an engagement session with my wedding clients...It gives me a chance to get to know them and it gives them a chance to get to know me a bit.   Josh and Rose were VERY FUN to photograph!  With Rose's quirky comments and Josh's funny faces, both could not stop smiling during this session.  :)  Today was a big day for the two of them as well.  Rose currently lives and works in Alabama and was here visiting for a few days and working on some wedding tasks, so it was very important we squeezed in this session.  Also, today was Josh's 30th birthday!!  HAPPY BIRTHDAY, JOSH!!!  You both looked amazing today despite the 97 degree temperature outside.  I cannot wait to photograph you again on your wedding day!  Here are just a few photos from today.  More photos will be posted at a later date.  Enjoy!

Olivia {newborn}

"I know someday that'll all work out...promise you kid, I'll give more than I get...I just haven't met you yet."

I am pleased to announce Baby Olivia's Grand Debut!  Well, actually, her mom and dad did that on May 11, 2011 on her birthday so we can just call this her "Second Grand Debut."  Getting the opportunity to photograph this little princess holds a special place in my heart because she belongs to a couple of my dear friends.  I am completely honored and blessed to have been asked to capture her first days on camera.  Josh and Stephanie, you have spent months (or even longer) praying, hoping, dreaming, and waiting for this blessing to arrive into your beautiful marriage and I could not be more happy and excited for you.   Please enjoy these photos as much (and MORE) as I enjoyed taking them!

{Fadely's} family photography

The family.  We were a strange little band of characters trudging through life sharing diseases and toothpaste, coveting one another's desserts, hiding shampoo, borrowing money, locking each other out of our rooms, inflicting pain and kissing to heal it in the same instant, loving, laughing, defending, and trying to figure out the common thread that bound us all together.  ~Erma Bombeck

One thing that I love about photographing this family is that they are hilarious!   Seriously, I want to be a fly on the wall at Thanksgiving dinner sometime.  :)  You may remember some of these faces from a previous session I posted last fall.   This time, I was able to spend time with the WHOLE family....sister, mom, dad, cousins, etc.   Everyone looked great and the weather cooperated beautifully.  We were able to spend some time at a park in Anderson, Indiana where I have never been before.  I am excited to have a new location to use for future sessions!   Here are a few photos from our session.   Mr. and Mrs. Fadely, thank you so much for choosing me to photograph your family!!

{Leonard-Griggs} E-Session

"I found the one my heart loves."  Song of Solomon 3:4

I know Amy from my day job in therapy.  I no longer work for the same company as her and I was completely honored that she still thought of me and contacted me to photograph her upcoming wedding!

Amy and Ryan are getting married this July in New Castle, Indiana.  They have known each other since they were teenagers and are the type of couple that make you think back to your high school "love" and wonder, "What if?"  Since their high school dating days, they have each gone their separate ways, but have always found their way back to one another (now say, "awwwww!").  I am very excited to be photographing their outdoor wedding at Memorial Park in New Castle next month.  Thank you so much for sticking out the heat and mosquitoes during your engagement session!  If you weren't impressed with my "hilarious" jokes, I know the bugs were because they could not keep their mouths off of me!  :)

{emily} blushing bride

I have said this before and I will say it again--I love love love photographing friends.  Emily, one of my dearest friends, asked me to take some portraits of her in her bridal attire a week or so prior to her wedding.  It was a solid hour of time devoted to just her and her beautiful self.  After I was through gawking at how amazing she looked with her dress on, make-up and hair done, and amazing smile, we were able to get to work.  :)  For this session, I chose the Bass House at St. Francis University in Ft Wayne, Indiana.  The dramatic doorways, warm light, and open air were perfect for what I had in mind.  Emily, I love you very much and I am so happy for you and Harley!!  He is a VERY lucky fella to have such a beautiful woman (through and through) in his life.  I wish you and Harley nothing but the best!

{zachary} infant photography

A child's world is fresh and new and beautiful, full of wonder and excitement. It is our misfortune that for most of us that clear-eyed vision, that true instinct for what is beautiful and awe-inspiring, is dimmed and even lost before we reach adulthood.  Rachel Carson

I almost forgot to post a few photos from Curt and Heather's Anticipation session!  Here ya go!
